It’s that time of year again, when we honor Gulch community members with our Annual Silver Buckle Award! The Silver Buckle Award is a time-honored tradition at Cottonwood Gulch Expeditions, historically presented to trekkers who distinguished themselves in some way over the course of the summer. The original Silver Buckle continues to be awarded to trekkers whenever summer program staff feel it is warranted.

In 2023, we created an additional version of this award.
Designed to recognize excellence in volunteers, staff, and/or donors who have demonstrated an impactful pattern of service to the Gulch. The award honors years of contribution and sustained support of the Gulch. We invite you to nominate a person you believe should receive a Silver Buckle for their dedication to the Gulch.
To nominate someone for this award, complete a nomination form here. Nominations close on May 31st.
Whom can you nominate?
Eligibility: Any past staff member, donor, or volunteer (including members of the board of directors) of Cottonwood Gulch shall be eligible to receive the award. Current staff members and members of the board of directors are not eligible. Institutions and organizations that have served as valued partners may also be nominated. To be eligible, a nomination must be made for a potential recipient.
